The Asian Roundtable of Colorado / Action Against Hate ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and store data when you use our platform to report hate incidents.
By using our app, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
When a user submits a hate incident report, we may collect the following information:

Location of incident (obtained via device with permission or entered manually)

Reporter’s relationship to the victim

2. How We Use the Information
The collected data is used to:

Display a public, map-based view of hate incidents

Help communities and researchers understand patterns and context of hate-related activity

Allow users to view incident reports by clicking on location pins in an interactive Google Map

All required and optional data submitted will be publicly visible. If a user or organization chooses to provide their name, that name will be displayed as part of the public report.
3. Public Disclosure
All reports are published to a publicly accessible map and list. Please note:
Submitting a name or organization is completely optional
If provided, names or organizational identifiers will be displayed publicly and cannot be removed after submission
We do not verify names or organization details
Users are encouraged to submit reports anonymously unless they are comfortable with public attribution.
4. Use of Google Maps Platform APIs
Our app uses Google Maps Platform APIs to display report locations. Use of this feature is subject to:

We do not use Google Maps APIs to collect location data in the background or track user movements.
5. Data Sharing
We may share aggregated or raw (non-PII) report data with:
Researchers or nonprofits working on anti-hate initiatives
Local organizations or government bodies focused on public safety and awareness
We do not sell data or use it for advertising or marketing purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable safeguards to secure submitted data. However, as reports are intended for public visibility, any information included in your submission may be permanently accessible.
Do not include personal contact information or sensitive data in the report description.
7. Children’s Privacy
This app is not intended for use by children under 13. If we learn that we’ve collected information from a minor without parental consent, we will delete it.
8. Your Choices
You may opt to allow or deny access to your device’s location.
You may choose to submit reports anonymously or include identifying information.
Once submitted, reports (including optional name/organization) cannot be edited or deleted.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the app indicates your acceptance of any changes.
